Whats hot .... for week beginning Wednesday 6 August

Ok - so I've copped some 'gentle ribbing' this week after the release of my first 'Little Miss Bargains' entry. My initial distribution of this blog link was very limited - just my mates who I know were, like me, keen to spot a grocery bargain and save some cash.

My personal motivation to save money on my weekly shop started after the arrival of my precious twin babies in December last year. In one moment my family doubled in size and our salary halved!

The arrival of twins bought massive change - less sleep, less time, more work, less money. Hence the focus on saving at the check-out and sparing cash for more important (and fun) things.

So, after releasing this blog I copped a bit of ribbing - Not surprisingly it’s been from my male friends. I can't be too precious; it was actually fairly gentle - along the lines of

'Seriously, aren't you busy enough?' ...

'What a naff topic for a blog' ....

'I took your advice but it took me twice the time to shop for 'your bargains' than just getting it all at one store' ) ...

But the better halves of these gentlemen (my girlfriends), who not surprisingly are usually the primary shoppers in the families, thought it was a great initiative and a huge time saver for the working Mums out there.

So .... Here I go with entry number two - I hope that you too can benefit from my favourite Sunday night past time 'junk mail scouring'

This week I've put together a basic shopping list with my tips at the top so you can either open the blog on your smart phone at the shops, or print it and take it with you - fill in the blank spots yourselves for your household necessities.
