Wow! - our following is growing! ... a little bit of background for newcomers
Little Miss Bargains’ following is growing (and growing rapidly) since publicising it on Facebook this week. Thank you to my wonderful friends who have shared the link. It’s confirmed just how many people are interested in changing their shopping habits in order to save money at the grocery check-out.
I’m conscious though that the weekly entries are brief, and wanted to make sure new followers understood the genesis of the blog.
Little Miss Bargains started as a practical tool I used myself to ensure I could save money on my weekly grocery shop. I realised that doing one huge shop at one grocery store meant I was paying too much and missing out on maximising sale items. By monitoring what is on special at which shop week to week, I’ve timed my purchases and saved money – usually half price on a lot of household staples.
Now by following this weekly blog you can time your grocery run and save lots of money too.
Like lots of others, I am busy and pretty ‘time poor’ these days, so I’ve deliberately kept the weekly entries short. I’ve also included a shopping list format so you can easily see what is on special where.
The weekly list isn’t a complete grocery shop; just a short list of what I think represents the best savings for the week from the major grocery stores. If you augment this short list with other household staples from stores such as Aldi and you’ll notice your spare change growing rapidly.
There are lots of blogs out there that are entertaining. Little Miss Bargains is not attempting to be funny, or witty, or thought provoking (although it is thought provoking to muse on all the things you could have bought with the money you didn’t need to spend over the years of lazy grocery shopping) – The blog is designed to be a practical tool so that you too can immediately start to save.
Following Little Miss Bargains won’t take up much time – you just log on – check your pantry/cupboards against the list and plan your smarter grocery shopping attack.
